Why Anyone Should Be Excited to Read THINK

Our new book THINK has officially be released—and I couldn’t be more excited to dive in and learn more about it along with the rest of the world!

THINK explores a skill that’s often undervalued and increasingly absent in today’s workplace: critical thinking. In an age where information is abundant and speed is rewarded, we’re often pushed to produce fast, not thoughtfully. Hustle culture glorifies efficiency, but rarely gives space for pausing, reflecting, and asking: Are we solving the right problem?

Here are the top 5 reasons I can’t wait to read THINK:

1. Thinking is hard... Nuff said 😊 - And I want to get better at it!
Critical thinking isn’t easy. It requires us to slow down, question assumptions, and challenge our own ideas. It’s uncomfortable—but that’s exactly why I’m excited about this book. THINK promises to provide tools and strategies to help do that hard work more effectively.

2. Critical thinking requires collaboration.
When I’m thinking critically, I often find myself asking more questions than I have answers. That forces me to connect with others, clarify information, and dig deeper. But in many work environments, asking questions can feel like it slows down progress—especially when speed is valued over depth. This book will explore how to strike a better balance.

3. The characters are painfully relatable.
The book introduces personas that reflect how we often show up at work. One in particular—Running Rodney—really hit home. I’ve been that person: moving fast, praised for high capacity and “GSD” -getting stuff done, but often pushing projects forward without truly defining the core problem. As a former leader once told me, “Done is better than perfect.” But is it?

4. It challenges comfort zones.
Critical thinking often means stepping outside the familiar. It pushes us to question the status quo, speak up when something doesn’t feel right, and rethink processes that “have always worked.” I’m ready to lean into that discomfort and grow from it.

5. We need this now more than ever.
In a world overflowing with content, deadlines, and deliverables, thinking critically has become a lost art. THINK offers a timely reminder that slowing down to think isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. I believe this book will spark important conversations and help us all raise the bar in how we lead, collaborate, and solve problems.

Whether you're a team leader, individual contributor, or somewhere in between, I believe THINK will offer insights that are both practical and powerful.
