I still remember my first day at BecomeMore, not knowing what this experience would be like. I was nervous and unsure if I would succeed. The word “consulting” intimidated me. I thought it was just about helping people with finances and didn’t fully understand what it actually involved.
Even with those doubts, I walked in excited and open to learning. What I found was a team that welcomed me, challenged me, and showed me what it means to lead with intention.
Since joining BecomeMore, I have grown in so many ways, especially in confidence. One of the biggest lessons I have learned came during our time at the SHRM Conference. That experience helped me see how quickly I was evolving, not because I had all the answers, but because I was surrounded by people who made it okay to be a beginner.
At SHRM, there were moments when I didn’t fully understand something, but I never felt judged for asking questions. The team supported me the whole way. I learned that being new doesn’t make you less valuable. It simply means you are learning, and that is a strength.
Even as an intern, my ideas were always welcomed. I was trusted to share my perspective, contribute to real conversations, and take part in decisions. That trust helped me grow. I started to speak up more, think more critically, and recognize the value of my voice.
Working with the BecomeMore team showed me what it looks like to live your values. When something needs to change, they take action. When someone needs support, they offer it. They make space for growth, not just for clients, but for interns like me.
Traveling to San Diego was another big moment. I saw the difference in myself. I felt more confident, more curious, and more comfortable just being me. That growth was only possible because I was surrounded by people who genuinely care.
At BecomeMore, I have learned it is not just about what you do. It is about who you become along the way. And because of this experience, I can truly say I have already started to Become More.
